Peter Allan,
Managing Director
The last remaining founder of Plus Four, Peter has extensive quantitative and qualitative experience and enjoys remaining 'hands-on' as well as directing the company. He can be found moderating groups across the country quite regularly. After this number of years in the research business his experience extends across many business sectors and he can bring this knowledge to bear to the benefit of clients, particularly where challenging projects are concerned. His free time (what's that?) is mostly spent in sports related activities: developing the sport of Korfball, supporting West Ham United football club (a job needing real devotion!) and occasionally running marathons (Athens 2004).
Barbara Pollard,
Finance Director
Barbara joined the company in 1973 and in due course became responsible for HR and Finance. She was appointed Finance Director in 1989. From 1995 she also managed the analysis of media coverage of many corporations including blue-chip multinationals and financial institutions. Barbara finds herself involved with various aspects of the business and her experience can often be called upon to deal with the 'unexpected'. She enjoys travelling in France, lying on beaches in Barbados and playing golf very badly.
Cara Allan,
Senior Research Executive
Cara managed
The Phone Unit alongside various field projects on a temporary basis for a year and a half as well as conducting depth interviews and moderating groups in
The Qualitative Lab. Cara joined Plus Four permanently in mid 2005 as a Research Executive. She has a BA (Hons) Degree in International Marketing Management and Spanish from Bournemouth University and the University of Barcelona. Cara previoulsy spent over 4 years in marketing, across various industries where she gained experience in advertising, branding, product/service development and other marketing communications. Cara enjoys all things Spanish: tapas, salsa dancing and travelling around South America.
Paula Perez,
New Business Executive
Paula has recently re-joined the world of work after a few years spent in the parallel universe of 'PPPP' (Parks, Playgroups, Plasticine & Painting) with her three children. In her PC life (pre-children) Paula managed and trained advertising sales teams within regional press. She also had the time and the funds to indulge her passions for travel and flying glider planes. These days the extent of her travelling is getting her children to their various activities, and the only 'thermals' she's caught in are the ones she wears while watching her sons play football! Paula spends her 'spare time' being a School Governor and a School Travel Plan Co-ordinator, but can always find time to attend BBQs on sunny days - especially when Pimms is being served!
Jane Allen, Supervisor 'The Qualitative Lab' Wimbledon
Based in our Wimbledon facility, Jane joined The Qualitative Lab 19 years ago, starting out as a hostess. As Supervisor she continues to be very involved with the smooth running of every session ensuring an excellent service to our clients. Moving to new premises in Brook House last year set her a fresh challenge and she and her team have continued to greet new clients and familiar faces with a warm welcome and great hospitality. Jane's spare time activities include gardening and entertaining at home with a wide circle of friends and family.
Susan Leah, Supervisor ‘The Qualitative Lab’ Cheadle Hulme (Greater Manchester)
Based in out Cheadle Hulme facility, Susan joined The Qualitative Lab in 2010. Susan previously owned and managed a successful and much-loved local restaurant. Her training as a food technologist and her continued enthusiasm for food, ensures clients always enjoy superb catering. Susan is the perfect addition to The Qualitative Lab - clients are already enjoying not only her catering, but also her friendly and professional approach.
Colleen Norton,
Director 'The Field Division'
Colleen has over twenty-five years experience of fieldwork at all levels beginning with the Gallup weekly omnibus and then moving on to a supervisor role in the phone unit of one of the major market research companies. The last seventeen years have been spent managing
The Field Division. When she has time, Colleen likes to drink wine, go to the theatre, walk her dog and do some exercise - but not necessarily at the same time! (Colleen is seen here with other members of the Field division ... Judith Cook and Mary Griffin)
Judith Cook, Field Executive
Prior to joining Plus Four in 2009, Judith worked in administration for 22 years. This has been a great asset to her role as Field Executive in the
Field Division. Judith manages and liaises with clients on field projects, working alongside in-house colleagues as well Plus Four’s UK network of Area Supervisors and interviewers. When not working, Judith is kept busy by her two boys and enjoys drinking wine, gardening and walking her dog.
Barry Jetten,
Director, 'The Analysis Solution'
Barry started at Plus Four in 1985 as a trainee spec-writer. Today he directs
The Analysis Solution and oversees (very much hands-on) the day-to-day running of Plus Four's in-house coding, data entry and data processing departments. Being so closely involved in all aspects of data preparation Barry is very aware of what clients both need and expect with regard to their data. When not at work Barry enjoys an even more hectic life with his wife and four children, he is currently hoping for a long and hot Summer 2010 when his seven year restoration of a 1977 Corvette Stingray hopefully comes to fruition…
Chris McDonald,
Senior Spec Writer
Chris has been with Plus Four for several years having previously worked for RS Consulting and TRBI in similar roles for over eight years. Chris has a BSc in Business Systems Modelling. Chris supports Barry in coding, data entry and processing tasks in
The Analysis Solution. If he had the time, Chris would like to do more travelling, preferably anyway where the weather is warm and the drinks are cold.
Ross Murawski,
Spec Writer
Ross started at Plus Four in 2006 as a trainee spec-writer. Ross is an integral part of The Analysis Solution and is responsible for data processing and General IT and audio-visual work within the company. When not at work Ross enjoys playing football, soaking up the rays, and generally being active as much as he can.
Keeley Ayling, Data Preparation Supervisor
Keeley began working at Plus Four in 2002 undertaking data entry during the evening shifts. Since then, Keeley has progressed to managing the day-to-day activity of the Data Preparation team, essentially keeping us all on track. Keeley has two sons who both belong to a boxing club which she and her husband help to run, she spends her spare time running up and down the country supporting her sons at events. Keeley (far right) is pictured here with other members of her team (from the left Pam, Shauna and Maro)
Denise Hodgson,
Accounts Manager
Denise has been with the company for more than 20 years starting in our
Field Division. Her love of figures was quickly spotted and it was not long before she moved into our Accounts Department where she became Manager in 1989. Denise plays an important role in other administration matters and can always be relied upon to support other divisions when the need arises, She also has the neatest desk in the company! Her excellent organisational skills go beyond Plus Four as in her spare time she is a Lieutenant of the Junior Section and Brigader Section of her local Girls' Brigade.
