We have explored the habits of shoppers for domestic / international clients seeking to gain market share, including pork products, chicken products, and frozen desserts.

 

We have been part of a team running international stakeholder sessions for future product /competition strategy.

 

We arrange shop-alongs for a client’s existing and new staff to become familiarised with their product/POS/competitors/customers (of course we have also conducted shop-alongs for ourselves with observation + café IDIs, including food and drink, beauty and haircare and home media).

We have run groups and depths on yoghurt, cream cheese, bottled water, wine, cereal bars, baked goods, cakes, sweets, cooking sauces, baking utensils and many many more!

 

We have also recruited for a panel for online workshops over an extended period to discuss everything relating to the ‘future of food’ (sustainability).

We have also undertaken quant surveys at a range of QSR review price positioning amongst repeat/first time customers.

 

We have tracked customer satisfaction with product complaints handling.

We have observed product / packaging handling, interviewing both adults and children, the latter using innovative interviewing methods.

 

We have gathered competitor pricing and POS photos from retail outlets.

 

We have also conducted a number of in-home observations (or hybrid interviews) … most recently, food preparation / cooking to understand how kitchen sinks are used with follow-up groups after designers built a new prototype based on initial observations

We have conducted a number of taste tests, from new formulas or flavours to new products... with some additionally including packaging design and handling feedback. Some have been large scale including the creation of industrial kitchens and others have been smaller scale including chefs / food prep.

 

We can do as much or as little as is needed, from design to reporting and everything in between e.g. venue hire, staffing, recruitment, incentives, survey set-up/equipment, facilitation/interviewing etc.
